  1. Hello.. We’re offering this opportunity. I myself am currently a renter, and I’m up for a position with Habitat for Humanity, building affordable homes here in Utah. I will be the Special Events and Grants Manager for Habitat for Humanity Greater Salt Lake.

I’m hoping to pick this item up and to use it as a showcase for building out an idea to produce a specific or a missing part, the middle part of the housing need in Salt Lake. The middle section being not full-on single-family homes, starting with single-person dwelling places and then staging up to doubles (in two bedrooms, three bedrooms, so on), where there can be co-living arrangements set up and so forth. With this award, if I were to get it, I could then use that to showcase the plan, which is:
    1. To find land for a living or for a land trust
    2. To again begin filling in the trust property with smaller dwelling units arranged in a communal fashion, with, for example, onsite central cooking or food access facilities

This would surround the individual and double and three bedroom households as an alternative to having, for example, full kitchens in each unit. We cut down the cost of housing by providing a central location for certain activities, food gathering spaces, and so forth.
